WWE BACKLASH HISTORY

clip_image001

This section looks at the history of WWE Backlash. The show debuted on April 25, 1999 and remained a Pay-Per-View until 2009. Then, in 2016, it was brought back as Smackdown Live Exclusive Pay-Per-View in September, after the Brand Extension. But was then moved to May in 2017. The 1st Backlash PPV in 1999 was called Backlash: In Your House, but it is under the Backlash Section on the WWE Network and not the In Your House Section, so it will be counted here as a Backlash event. All of the sections here are the same as in the previous Pay-Per-View History sections.
