2023 WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER PREVIEW

ec

Since I do the blogs looking at every Pay-Per-View every month, I thought I would do one looking at WWE Elimination Chamber. To see the entire history of Elimination Chamber, visit the Elimination Chamber History HERE. For the entire History of the Elimination Chamber Match, go HERE. And for any feedback or comments about this, comment below or tweet me (@hbkid718). Thanks.

This will be the 2nd PPV in a row in 2023 to not have a Smackdown Women’s Championship, Intercontinental Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, Smackdown Tag Team Championship, or Women’s Tag Team Championship Match. It will be the 1st PPV of 2023 to not have a Raw Women’s Championship Match. It will be the 2nd year in a row there won’t be a Women’s Tag Team Championship Match at Elimination Chamber. It will be the 3rd year in a row that there won’t be an Intercontinental Championship or Tag Team Championship Match at Elimination Chamber. It will be the 1st time since 2021 that there won’t be a Women’s Championship Match at Elimination Chamber.

Since no Kickoff Match has been announced, here are the facts about it. The only wrestlers on the Roster to wrestle in an Elimination Chamber Kickoff Match are: Rey Mysterio & The Miz in 2022, Ricochet in 2021, Erik in 2020, & Akira Tozawa in 2019. The only Championships to be defended on the Elimination Chamber Kickoff is the United States Championship in 2011. If they don’t have a Kickoff Match, it would be the 2nd PPV in a row in 2023 to not have one & the 1st ever Elimination Chamber PPV to not have one.

Since no Opening Match has been announced, here are the facts about it. The wrestlers on the card to be in an Opening Match are Carmella (2019), Liv Morgan (2019), Roman Reigns (2022), & Sami Zayn (2021). If Roman Reigns opens, he will be the 1st time that someone wrestled in back-to-back Elimination Chamber PPV openers since Daniel Bryan in 2020 & 2021. If a Chamber Match opens, it will be the 7th Elimination Chamber Match to open an Elimination Chamber PPV & 1st since 2021. If it is the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match, it will be the 4th WWE Championship Match to open an Elimination Chamber PPV & 2nd year in a row. If it’s a Women’s Match, it will be the 4th Women’s Match to open up an Elimination Chamber PPV & 1st since 2019. If it’s the United States Championship Match, it will be the 1st ever to open an Elimination Chamber PPV. The last 1-on-1 Match to open an Elimination Chamber PPV was Daniel Bryan VS Drew Gulak in 2020. If Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, or Austin Theory wrestle in the Opening Match, they will be the 1st since Daniel Bryan in 2019 & 2020 to go from the Elimination Chamber main event to the following opener.
